“With A Shake Of Her Hair” follows Ellie, a Midwestern stay at home mother, over the course of one unexpectedly eventful summer. To spice up her habitual week of Tuesday night PTA, Thursday night chicken, and no frills Sunday night sex, Ellie’s mind wanders to imagined places where her children morph into poo flinging monkeys, she emerges from the cul de sac each morning looking supermodel-esque, and her husband always does the dishes. When confronted by her husband’s infidelity with a coworker, Ellie is forced out of her head, and into a reality where she is torn between the temptation of an affair of her own with her daughter’s dreamy soccer coach or fighting for her rapidly crumbling marriage. Now with her life upside down, Ellie struggles to determine her next step, and finds herself longing for the predictability of Thursday night chicken.
